– This Recording posted part two of the John Steinbeck letters yesterday. The more I read them, the less I like him, which is sad, because Tortilla Flats was one of my favorite childhood books.

are always far more enticing than the things I do know.
Sometimes we wonder what’s going to happen, and sometimes we know exactly what’s going to happen. It’s not a matter of actually knowing or not knowing though, it’s simply a matter of mindset. We choose to know, or to wonder. Both come with a powerful set of emotions, which is why we jump back and forth.
